| About our Staff: All of our staff on #ghosthunters are volunteers. None of the moderators get paid. There are many moderators on the channel because at any given time at least two are watching the channel. Other moderators may be busy doing other things. Many of our moderators are also logging the channel. This means they are recording the activity in the room. By having more than one log we can cross check activity and see where real problems come from. However, the moderators are NOT here to force rules down anyone's throat. Moderators are also chatters and just want to have a good time like anyone else. Our moderators just happen to be people who come here often and have earned the respect and trust of other moderators and regular chatters. If anyone feels they've been mistreated in the channel by a moderator, please go to our Contact Us page and email us. |

Note: The above list is the current staff list for the channel of #GhostHunters on the StarChat IRC Network. Different levels of moderator ranks are specified by the title over the list of nicknames. How to notice a moderator versus a regular chatter: Within the chat room, people with an @ in front of their nickname are moderators. Also, in the chat room, people with a + in front of their name are either channel friends or off-duty moderators. Technically, the + indicates the person is "voiced" which under normal channel situations is just a friendly status. Under certain circumstances, a voiced person will be able to chat openly when others are unable to. That certain situation is called a 'moderated' channel. Only moderators and voiced people are able to chat openly. All other chatters are muted and cannot speak openly. Our chat channel is usually, not moderated, and allows everyone to speak openly. 'Orb_Bot' (Channel Bot) Information: Our 'bot' does not have any threatening code or run spyware. It exists solely to entertain and inform our guests and moderators. If anyone has a problem or notices a bug with the bot, we would appreciate an email to the channel's administrative staff.
