This set of rules is for GhostHunters Chat Only.
Other channels linked from this website may have their own rules.
Check to make sure you agree with any rules before you join any channel.

Room Rules
  • 1. No bots or cloning (by normal guests).
  • 2. No flooding, repeated sentences, sounds or pop-ups.
  • 3. No advertising, unless permission is granted by a moderator.
  • 4. Room content is for guests 18 years old or older.
  • 5. Some casual cursing is allowed but the F word or the C word is NOT allowed at all.
  • 6. No use of excessive CAPS. It's considered yelling and rude.
  • 7. Do not ignore channel moderators.
  • 8. No harassing other chatters and/or moderators. This includes ANY form of stalking and is up to the discretion of the moderators.
  • 9. Do not impersonate a TAPS member, person of fame and/or a moderator at any time.
  • 10. No inappropriate nicks or links.
  • 11. This is an English speaking room only.
  • 12. This is not a dating service or pick-up chat room. Personal stats are to be kept to Private Messages.
  • 13. Before you Private Message (PM) someone, you must get prior approval.
    Moderators are allowed to PM without permission to anyone.
  • 14. Decisions made by room moderators are final.
  • 15. Piracy or illegal downloads are NOT to be discussed here. That includes copying any form of media in any form or method.
  • 16. No racist, sexual orientation discrimination, or other hostile related messages will be tolerated.
  • 17. Do not use #ghosthunters as a place for making sales of anything unless permission is given by a moderator.
  • 18. Popping in and popping out (PIPO'ing) will not be tolerated. It's considered rude and annoying.
The enforcement of all rules is up to the Moderator's discretion. If you think we are being harsh in some way, please let us know and we will be happy to work with you. However, understand the Moderator has the final word. These rules are in compliance with, and augment, those rules set forth by StarChat, as defined in their Acceptable Use Policy.

Please read this important excerpt from StarChat's Acceptable Use Policy:

All clients connecting to StarChat will not use the network to engage in illegal activities, including the transfer of illegal software and/or child pornography and/or harassment of other users. StarChat does not tolerate any channel names or channel topics containing offensive words in any language, or a channel that encourages or supports harassment. Channels that come to the attention of StarChat's staff through complaints, and on investigation are found not to comply with the AUP, will be either closed or set +s (secret), until they are in full compliance with this policy. Advertising, cloning by multiple client connects, flooding by repeated send of text or CTCP commands, use of profanity or harassment of other clients are grounds for immediate and permanent removal from the network.

Like life, these rules are subject to change. Please continue to review them from time to time.

Warnings / Kicks / Bans
  • There will be three (3) warnings for every rule broken with the exception of blatant disrespect in the chat room (at the discretion of the moderator).
  • On the third (3rd) warning, a kick will be applied.
  • If three (3) kicks are applied, the third (3rd) kick will receive a ban from the room until further notice.
  • Blatant "rule breakers" may be subjected to a ban and/or permanent ban with no warning (at the discretion of the moderator).


We would like these rooms to be a casual and friendly environment, where people can enjoy each others company. Please use good judgment during your stay.
